Quite a useless disambiguation page. ~~The two entries listed here don't even have the same first name (Vasily Arkhipov (general) vs Vasili Arkhipov (vice admiral) .~~ The vice admiral is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC based on pageviews and notability. Hatnotes, such as For the Soviet general twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, see Vasily Arkhipov (general). should replace the disambig page. Vasily Arkhipov and Vasili Arkhipov are merely different romanizations of the same name in Russian. Their names are both Василий Архипов. Their names are pronounced the same. Having different disambiguation pages for different romanizations of the same Russian name is not done here. Russian names can be romanized in various different ways, and the any use of the same Russian name should have a disambiguation page. - I disagree. WP:ONEOTHER applies when we have a primary topic; at the moment, there is no primary topic here. Thus, the applicable part of WP:DISAMBIG would be WP:NOPRIMARY, which recommends the current system: a disambig at the base name and the two topics linked from there. Redirect to Vasily Arkhipov (vice admiral) per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The vice admiral is clearly the primary topic here by usage, accounting for 433,000 views against 13,000 views for the DAB page and general combined. Delete the disambiguation page and move Vasily Arkhipov (vice admiral) to this title. WP:ONEOTHER applies, and the vice admiral is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC here. Hatnotes are already present at both Vasily Arkhipov (vice admiral) and Vasily Arkhipov (general). Redirecting this title to Vasily Arkhipov (vice admiral) would just complicate things needlessly (though I suppose it would be better than keeping the disambiguation page). Of the three redirects to this title, Vasily Arkhipov (disambiguation) should be deleted whereas Vasiliy Arkhipov and Vasili Arkhipov should point to the article on the vice admiral, which would mean that they would keep redirecting to the current title if my suggestion is implemented.
