Disambiguation link notification for January 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Animal Face-Off, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Feline (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

January 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this recent edit to Cabela's African Safari, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. SirkablaamTalk 07:45, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There appears to be a mistake here. Fafnir1's edit was not problematic. The revert appears to be an error, as it reverted an edit which was dealing with revert links not removing an AfD notice. The message above can be ignored, and Fafnir1 may continue with his editing if he wishes. Though, per WP:NOTBROKEN, it is not strictly necessary to amend reverts as readers will get to the appropriate article anyway. SilkTork ✔Tea time 15:07, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
"Revert links"? Do you mean redirect links, SilkTork? At any rate, yes Fafnir, please have a look at WP:NOTBROKEN and give it a rest. Your efforts would be better spent on other, far more necessary edits. Ibadibam (talk) 06:51, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Fafnir1 as already said above it is real good you are keen to spend so much time editing however I have a concern that you are spending heaps of your time making edits that as far as I can see have no real purpose. Just to make it clearer WP:NOTBROKEN says "Do not "fix" links to redirects that are not broken". That is as far as I can tell what you are doing. While this is relatively harmless it has no positive affect on the quality of the encyclopedia. Your time and the thousands of people you have had look at these changes in their watchlists could be doing much much better things. My 2cents worth :-) Andrewgprout (talk) 05:07, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
