Help required with Azureus and Java JVM[edit]
- moved from Help talk:Contents
I've just re-built my PC and had to re-install Windows XP Pro. I've downloaded and installed the latest Java (Version 5, 1.4.2) but when I try to start Azureus I keep getting the 'No Java JVM found on your system' message. I've 4 drives going. Java automatically installs in the system disc and Azureus has been installed on the 'D:' drive. This is exactly the same configuration I used successfully previously. Can anyone help me out here?! Email me by all means: monster1999@btinternet.com Cheers, in anticipation. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Crowther1999 (talk • contribs) 21:21, 6 December 2006 (UTC).

You need to setup an environment variable on your system.
First you need the path to your jdk / jvm:
Search your C drive for "Java.exe"
This is located in the "bin" sub directory of your jdk / jvm path
Create the environment variable:
- Start -> Right-click "My Computer" -> Select properties
- Select the advanced tab
- Select "Environment Variables"
- Select "New"
Variable name: "EXE4J_JAVA_HOME" Variable value: jdk / jvm path (Path above without the "bin" subdirectory part)
- Select "OK" then "OK" then "OK"
Now start Azureus.
- hmm, this is not related to Wikipedia. Maybe you should address to a forum not here. --HIZKIAH (User • Talk) 13:13, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
