In 2012, MMG began his acting career in TV dramas for TVB. In 2016, he launched his personal YouTube channel and received the YouTube Silver Creator Award in 2019.
In 2020, MMG published his autobiography, The Truest Stories Ever Written By MMG, which was well-received and went into its third printing.
In 2021, MMG studied drama in New York, USA. In 2022, he starred in the short film Hot Chocolate in New York, marking his first leading role. The film was nominated for "Best Short Film" at the East Midlands Queer Film Festival. In the same year, he relocated and started a master’s program in Taipei.
In 2023, MMG gained significant popularity due to a video discussing cultural differences in Taiwan.This exposure made him a headline figure and attracted the attention of TV producers, leading to invitations to appear on Taiwanese variety shows.
