Merge?[edit]

There is already an article at Caroline Records (U.S.), and presumably this page should redirect there. Jlittlet 00:52, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Caroline Distribution, though related in name and formerly a part of Caroline Records (U.S.) history is no longer a part of Caroline Records (U.S.). Caroline Records (U.S.) is currently a sub-label of Astralwerks Records and if anything Caroline Records (U.S.) should point to Astralwerks for the time being.

Caroline Distribution, a independent record distributor, maintains its own staff, offices, websites, etc. It can be merged and listed as a division of EMI, who is the parent corporation but it should not redirect to Caroline Records, it should remain it's own unique article on Wikipedia. We will add more wiki content shortly on the organization. Edited by an employee of Caroline Distribution midikris 11:59, 24 October 2006.

Fair use rationale for Image:Carolinedistlogo.jpg[edit]

Image:Carolinedistlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:58, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

label roster changes[edit]

Caroline no longer distributes Ninja Tune, Plug Research, Tee Pee, Morr, Frenchkiss, or Lex. Delete them, or move to a "used to distribute" section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.19.112.202 (talk) 19:36, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning of Labels/artist partners section[edit]

I just added an artist (Steven Wilson) to the section, but I am not sure I did well there as I noticed most entries are labels, not their associated artists. Should my edit be reversed? Also, I tagged the edit as minor, but this is incorrect since I did alter the content. Excuse for this. ProgRockLover (talk) 23:50, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested at WP:RM/TR as opposed to a move, the rationale is explained in the thread below:

Extended content
To avoid confusion, I suggest that the current article on the "Services" department be merged into the main article at Virgin Music Group. Much of the content in the department's article appears to be about the larger corporate entity regardless. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 17:07, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
